Watch "Mormon No More," A Hulu Original, Now Streaming
ABC News Studios announced "Mormon No More," a Hulu Original documentary series that follows two Mormon moms who fell in love, left the faith, and are now on an emotional journey of self-discovery. Lena Schwen and Sally (Sal) Osborne, once married to men, were introduced by a mutual friend from the church and soon realized they felt more than just a friendship between them. "Mormon No More" follows the couple as they navigate their way out of the church, out of their marriages, and into their truth, all while co-parenting their seven kids with their ex-husbands and planning their wedding. Told in four parts, the docu-series captures the couple as they work to reconstruct their lives while maintaining relationships with their ex-husbands, parents, friends and siblings. All four episodes of "Mormon No More" are now streaming only on Hulu.
Throughout, the series includes interviews and powerful vérité from other Mormon and ex-Mormon members of the LGBTQ+ community, who wrestle with reconciling their identity with the church's prohibitive doctrine on same-sex relationships. Their gripping testimonies bolster Lena and Sal's story speaking of shame, rejection and ultimately hope and self-discovery. "Mormon No More" recognizes common humanity with a romantic, intimate and revealing story of acceptance, empathy, and the power of living your truth.
"Mormon No More" is produced for Hulu by ABC News Studios. Edward Hambleton and Claire Weinraub are executive producers, Keturah Gray is senior producer, and Megan Isenstadt is supervising story producer.
