Diggy Simmons stars as Doug Edwards on the fifth season of Freeform's hit comedy "grown-ish," produced by ABC Signature.
Simmons is an NAACP and BET award-winning musician and actor with a career spanning over a decade. A true multihyphenate with extraordinary vision, he has evolved as a musician, actor, designer, model and humanitarian — and he's just getting started.
From a young age, Simmons has been spotlighted in the fashion world, garnering attention from the likes of Kanye West for his style. Recently, Simmons has cemented himself as a style icon by modeling in various fashion week shows, working with brands such as Ferragamo and Calvin Klein, collaborating with Don C and Converse during New York Fashion Week in 2018, and participating in a Lexus U.S. campaign for Marvel's "Black Panther."
In 2011, at the age of 15, Simmons was named to the legendary XXL "Freshman Class," alongside Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill. Simmons has made a name for himself as a powerhouse musician, collaborating with artists like Bruno Mars, Pharrell and Ty Dolla $ign. Following his hit mixtape "The First Flight" and 2012 debut single "Do It Like You" featuring Jeremih, Simmons released "Lighten Up," his highly anticipated debut album. Throughout the years, he has toured the world, including a stop at the White House's Easter Egg Roll, where Simmons performed at the request of President Obama and the first family.
In 2019, Simmons starred in the celebrated short film "About The People," opposite Michael K. Williams.
The 27-year-old New York native currently resides in Los Angeles.
