Welcome to Eye Opening Moments for American Crime. Here you can catch a glimpse at some of the most surprising moments of the latest episode *Warning: There WILL be spoilers.

Tom Goes There: Upon finding out that Gwen was promiscuous, Tom (W. Earl Brown) sees his comatose daughter in a whole new light. When he is informed that the men Gwen slept with were interviewed, Tom asks to read their interviews, adding more fuel to the fire.

Nancy's Story: When Barb (Felicity Huffman) turns to her confidante Nancy (guest star Lili Taylor) about Carter's (Elvis Nolasco) bail hearing, Nancy gives the grieving mother sound advice on what to expect and the best way to present herself at the hearing. While counseling Barb, Nancy's own story comes out. She reveals that in an attempt to feel confident, she was painted by the defense as a cold woman while her daughter's killer put on a pair of glasses and was able to walk free.

Barb's Lies: With Gwen coming out of her coma, Tom confides in Mark (guest star David Hoflin) about his disappointment in Gwen's lifestyle choices. Mark reveals that the heroic story about Matt enlisting in the army after 9/11 was a lie. Matt was involved in drugs even back then, so Barb made him enlist - he didn't want to go. The fantasy and lies are all she has to hold on to. Hearing this, Tom realizes that he should have never looked at Gwen's files.
