Eye Opening Moments: "Episode Five"

Sober Aubry?: During a one-on-one conversation with her father, Aubry (Caitlin Gerard) lies to him about her sobriety, and unfortunately, he is fooled. Believing her lies, he offers to rent her a car an account of her "new attitude." Little does he know Aubry has her own agenda. 

Hector is No Fool: Meeting with Hector (Richard Cabral), Soderbergh tries to bargain with him, but there is no fooling him. Hector quickly realizes that Soderbergh has nothing on Carter (Elvis Nolasco) except for what Hector can provide him. Upon this realization, he puts his foot down and takes a stand, demanding a better situation from the DA. 

It's All About the Money: Coming to terms with the fact that her plan for Carter won't work, Aubry heads back to Modesto. She pays a visit to her father in hopes of getting money from him but gets her brother Brian instead. When she asks to borrow money from him, Brian obliges and gives her all he has, despite the fact that he doesn't seem to believe a word she says.
