American Idol 2018 Week 3 Recap: Watch Auditions & Group Performances from Hollywood Week
American Idol 2018 auditions finally came to a close this week, but not before some exciting new additions had their opportunity to perform for judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Once again, the search for American Idol 2018 contestants took the judges across the country where they saw a variety of talented performers from all walks of life and with unique styles and sounds. From there, it was finally time to begin Hollywood Week, where the contestants would really be put to the test. First up, the Line of Ten performances where they'd finally get to see what the competition looked like and the judges began the tough job of deciding who could stay and who was headed home. Then came the notoriously difficult group performances where contestants had one night to pull together and both work together as a group and still stand out on their own. There were definitely some struggles, and some tough eliminations, and here are some of the highlights you won't want to miss.
Welcome Ada Vox
Ada had tried out for American Idol in its 12th season as a boy named Adam, but now was the time for Ada Vox to come through.
The Sposato brothers made it through their auditions together, but Hollywood week broke up the family act with Milo Sposato moving forward and his brother Julian Sposato being sent home by the judges.
Katy's Crush Returns
Trevor Holmes continued to fan the flames of a love triangle with judge Katy Perry and his girlfriend, Sierra. His performance of Vance Joy's "Riptide" even had Luke Bryan a little flustered.
God's Diversity Takes Us To Church
Coming out the gate strong, God's Diversity was the first group to perform and they brought it. Just try to stay in your seat when Kourtney Smith starts to belt it out.
Crystal Alicea Shows Her Heart
After struggling to get on the same page with her more experienced group-mates, Crystal Alicea helps pull out a great group performance before Katy Perry drops a bombshell: there are three spots left and four ladies, so who will volunteer to go home? Bonus, keep an eye out for group member Britney Holmes who America saved for the competition!
Hollywood Week moves on SUNDAY 8|7c as American Idol's journey continues on America's network, ABC!
