American Music Awards 2015: Top 5 Moments

The American Music Awards was an unforgettable night of incredible performances, dazzling fashion, and recognition for some of music’s greatest acts

Here are the 5 most memorable moments that still have people buzzing!

One Direction wowed the crowd with a perfect performance, of well, "Perfect." Harry, Niall, Liam, and Louis took the Artist of the Year for the second year in a row as well as walking away with the Favorite Duo or Group -- Pop/Rock award.

"To everyone we've worked with and everyone who's supported us over the last five years, thank you very much," Harry thanked as the group accepted their AMA trophy.

Meghan Trainor had an explosive introduction to the AMA stage with her songs “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” and “Marvin Gaye.” She was joined onstage by performer Charlie Puth for their song “Marvin Gaye,” and they shared a passionate kiss at the end of the song!

Fans went crazy over the moment and even country star Luke Bryan couldn’t shake the memory as he accepted his award: “I’m still laughing at that Charlie and Meghan getting it on with a little smooch. It kept rolling after the commercial break.”

Ariana Grande made waves when she performed her new song “Focus” dressed in old Hollywood glam. She also won the “Best Female Pop/Rock Artist” award and dedicated to her grandmother “Nonna” who was cheering her on in the audience.

“I think I owe a lot of this to my Nonna, who made sure to remind me that she voted.  She goes, 'Ariana, I went on the computer. I voted, so I think you'll win," said Grande as she accepted her win.

Nick Jonas was introduced by none other than his brother Joe Jonas before he performed a medley of his hit songs. He started with a piano rendition of “Chains” before livening it up with “Levels.” Jonas was then joined by a gospel choir for an epic rendition of “Jealous,” where he also showed off his drumming skills.

Justin Bieber is no stranger to the AMAs with a total of 5 AMA trophies under his belt. This year, he took home the award for Collaboration of the Year for “Where are U Now” ft. Skrillex and Diplo. He also went the medley route by performing “Where are U Know,” “What Do You Mean,” and “Sorry” to a screaming audience of fans. He held nothing back with incredible dance performances and what looked like a finale in the rain.
