Bachelor in Paradise Recap: Tenley's Love Square, Clare Goes Off
Yes, we're still here after Paradise had a near meltdown during Night 1 of this week. We left off with Jared Haibon quickly going from being the nice guy to a possible villain when he asked Clare Crawley out on a date. The bold move left both Mikey Tenerelli and Ashley Iaconetti with broken hearts (and plenty of tears to boot). Despite the drama, Clare and Jared embark on their date and go (bungee) jumping for love.
Clare & Jared's Bungee Date Ends Up Falling Flat
Luckily, Jared redeems himself by being the gentleman he is and comforts a terrified Clare before their jump. However, their romance comes to a screeching halt after Clare realizes her age is in fact an issue with Jared and the two go their separate ways. So much for #claredforever.
Tenley + Michael = Love Square
Tenley Molzahn, who has had both JJ Lane and Joshua Albers clamoring for her affection, is thrown for a loop when Michael Garofola arrives in Paradise and immediately asks her on a date with his Date Card. As Tenley put it, her love triangle just became a "love square." To make matters even more complicated, their already romantic evening is taken up a notch with a surprise serenade from a 100-man mariachi band. Ay caramba!
Clare Goes Off on the Group
With no one to give her rose to, Clare panics right before the rose ceremony and takes her frustration out on the group with a random outburst. Everyone is silent and confused. Later, Jade Roper calls out Clare on her outburst; she is offended by her comments.
The ladies have the upper hand this week and most of them give out their roses to their respective partners (for now at least). Despite her romantic date night with Michael, Tenley surprisingly chooses Joshua. Everyone gives out their roses - everyone but Clare, that is. Instead, she runs out in tears and has to be chased down by Chris Harrison, with the recipient of her rose up in the air.
