Nominations for the 71st Emmy® Awards were announced today by the Television Academy and How To Get Away With Murder received three nominations, including star Viola Davis, who received her fifth Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Annalise Keating. Davis won the Emmy® for this same nomination in 2015. Cicely Tyson, who plays Annalise's mother, Ophelia Harkness, and Glynn Turman, who plays Nathaniel Lahey, Sr, were also nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress and Actor in a Drama Series, respectively.

The 2019 Emmy Awards will telecast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 22, (8:00 - 11:00 PM ET/5:00 - 8:00 PM PT) on FOX.
