India de Beaufort was born June 27 in London, England, to dancer and choreographer Karen de Beaufort.
At the age of 15, de Beaufort signed to Entertainment Rights as a vocal artist. While in development, India joined the cast of the BAFTA nominated BBC children's sitcom The Basil Brush Show for three seasons, and performed at the BBC Proms in the Park. During production, India was also studying Fashion at Esher College.
In 2007, de Beaufort was cast as Maya opposite Simon Pegg in the feature film Run, Fat Boy, Run, directed by David Schwimmer. The following year India was cast as the female lead in the Comedy Central/BBC series Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire. Other series regular credits include ABC's Blood & Oil and ABC Family's (Now known as Freeform) Jane by Design, a fashion-based series, during which India was invited to show her own collection at New York Fashion Week. She has also been cast in recurring roles in the following productions: The CW's One Tree Hill, USA's Necessary Roughness, NBC's Chicago P.D, TV Land's Younger and CBS' NCIS: Los Angeles.
De Beaufort has voiced 78 episodes of the animated Emmy Award-winning Netflix/Dreamworks series All Hail King Julien, most notably as twin sisters Clover and Crimson and their Grandma Rose. She is also the voice of Arcane Super Girl in the DC video game Infinite Crisis.
Currently, de Beaufort can be seen recurring on HBO's award-winning comedy Veep.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, actor Todd Grinnell, who plays Schneider in Netflix's One Day at a Time, and their dog, Kid.
