Houston, Texas artist Joni Zavitsanos started a memorial project to honor those who we have lost to coronavirus. So far, she’s completed more than 120 portraits of men and women. She’s honored mothers, fathers, deputies, even a truck driver who devoted his life to helping others get a second chance. Joni said, “Every single human being that is on the Earth has a meaning and a purpose. And their life should be celebrated.”Joni is now searching for a permanent place to hang all the portraits, so their families can gather and pay tribute to their loved ones. If you would like to learn more about the project, or contact Joni about your loved one who passed away from COVID-19, visit jonizavitsanos.com.
