Actor Biography

Gil Bellows stars as Paul on Freeform's highly anticipated limited series "Love in the Time of Corona." Paul and Sarah put up a "happy couple" facade for their daughter Sophie's sake when the pandemic sends her home from college, although unbeknownst to her, they have separated.

Bellows is best known for his role as Tommy in "The Shawshank Redemption" and his award-winning performance of Billy in "Ally McBeal." His additional acting credits include "Awake" for Netflix, opposite Gina Rodriguez and Jennifer Jason Leigh; the lead in "The Two Deaths of Henry Baker," which will premiere in 2021; and the series "Jett," opposite Carla Gugino and Giancarlo Esposito for Cinemax. Bellows both produced and recurred on the Amazon series "Patriot." He also produced the Emmy® and Peabody award-winning movie "Temple Grandin" for HBO, starring Clare Danes, who won the Emmy, Golden Globe® and SAG award for her performance. Bellows developed, co-starred and served as an executive producer on the upcoming film "Business Ethics," starring Larenz Tate, Lance Riddick and Kurtwood Smith. He has also appeared in "The Weatherman," "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark," "The Handmaid's Tale, " and was a founding member of the Seraphim Theater Company in New York City.
