On last night's 2-hour season 2 premiere of Marvel's Agent Carter, Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) moves to the City of Angels to help Chief Daniel Sousa at the West Coast Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) investigate a bizarre homicide involving an alleged killer and Isodyne Energy, and reunites with some familiar faces. Hooray for Hollywood: After a run-in with her old neighbor Dottie Underwood, Peggy is assigned by Chief Jack Thompson to go to Los Angeles and help Sousa with the Lady of the Lake killer. Upon arriving in the City of Angels, she is greeted by Jarvis... and the pink-feathered houseguest of Howard Stark.
The Look: Peggy arrives at the SSR's West Coast bureau and reunites with Sousa. When he is clearly shocked to see her, she realizes he didn't put in the request for her as Thompson said. Nevertheless, she gets down to business and questions if the frozen lake and the murder are even the same crime.
A Day at the Races: To get more clues about the Lady of the Lake killer, Peggy enlists Jarvis to assist in her operation and go undercover. While Jarvis entertains Isodyne Energy owner Calvin Chadwick's wife, actress Whitney Frost, Peggy questions the politician about the death of Jane Scott, the lady whose body was found in the lake -- and whom Chadwick had relations with.
Sparks in the Phonebooth: Isodyne Energy physicist Jason Wilkes teams up with Peggy and shares intel on Isodyne with her. He shows her footage of Zero Matter, the specimen that killed Jane Scott, and tells her what he knows. Later, while on the run, Peggy and Wilkes get cozy in a broken telephone booth, where he plants a kiss on her -- and she kisses back.
Goodbye, Wilkes?: At Isodyne, Whitney confronts Wilkes at gunpoint and orders him to hand over the Zero Matter. The two fight over the specimen, which goes over the rail and shatters, releasing into the air. Peggy runs to find Wilkes, but he’s vanished.
