Henry Simmons

Actor Biography

Henry Simmons most recently recurred on Ravenswood, a spin-off from ABC Family's hit series Pretty Little Liars, and appeared in Amazon's pilot for Transparent, written and directed by Jill Soloway.

On the big screen, Simmons recently starred in No Good Deed, opposite Idris Elba, Taraji P. Henson and Leslie Bibb, From the Rough, along with Taraji P. Henson and Michael Clarke Duncan, and World's Greatest Dad, opposite Robin Williams in the Sundance independent film. In 2007, Simmons won Best Actor at the American Black Film Festival for his performance as 'Dr. Walter Chambers' in the feature film, South of Pico. Other film credits include Madea's Family Reunion, Something New, Taxi, Are We There Yet?, The Insurgents, A Gentlemen's Game and Let It Snow.

On television, Simmons was a series regular on the ABC comedy Man Up, starred in the CBS legal drama Shark and was also a series regular on ABC's NYPD Blue. His other television credits include Reckless, Common Law, Let's Stay Together, Raising the Bar, CSI: Miami and The Cleaner.
