Modern Family and Ty Burrell Receive 2017 Emmy Nominations

Modern Family and Ty Burrell have received 2017 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation.  Modern Family has received over 20 Emmy awards over the past 8 seasons.

Ty Burrell is nominated for a 2017 Emmy in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category. This is the eighth Emmy nomination for Burrell, who has previously won twice for his role as Modern Family's Phil Dunphy, in 2011 and 2013. Burrell's Phil Dunphy is the lovable and enthusiastic family man who always strives to be the "cool dad."
