Modern Family Season 7 Premiere: Haley and Andy’s Status and Mitch’s Career Crisis

Modern Family Season 7 Premiere: Haley and Andy’s Status and Mitch’s Career Crisis

We are less than a week away from the Season 7 Premiere of Modern Family on WEDNESDAY 9|8c.  The season premiere starts off right where we left off, the party at Jay and Gloria's house in the season 6 finale "Ameircan Skyper".  In the sneak peek below, Phil is able to contact the family through Cam's phone and reveal that Andy and Haley like each other.

To help get everyone up to speed, here are the three things to remember going into the season premiere.

1.  Phil Realizes Haley and Andy Love Each Other

Robot Phil (Ty Burrell) helps Haley (Sarah Hyland) realize she's in love with Andy, but he's about to leave to propose to Beth. Andy (Adam Devine) confided in Phil earlier to reveal he has feelings for someone other than Beth, and when Phil realizes that mystery girl is Haley, it's up to him to get them together. It's just that the audio in robot Phil has gone out and his robo-wheels aren't meant to chase them down the stairs.

2.  Mitchell Lost His Job
Cam (Eric Stonestreet) confronts Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) about the texts he's been receiving from Spencer. Mitchell comes clean, admitting he lost his job and has been spending time at the park with old checker-playing Spencer and his friend George. And George happens to be a pet, which is just a cockatoo.

3.  Sanjay Revealed his feelings for Alex
On the eve of Alex (Ariel Winter) and Sanjay's (Suraj Partha) big race to settle who will be named class valedictorian, Alex gets a visit from her school rival who admits he has a crush on her. It seemed genuine to her, but Phil (Ty Burrell), Claire (Julie Bowen) and Luke (Nolan Gould) suspect he's waging psychological warfare to throw her off her game.

Modern Family is nominated for a 6th straight emmy in Outstanding Comedy Series.  There's a good reason.  We can't get enough of it.  Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell are also nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series respectively.
