Percy “Frenchy” Creuzot moved to Houston, Texas in 1965 to work as a traveling salesman. But he followed his passion for food, and opened a po-boy shop on Scott Street with his wife. They added fried chicken to the menu soon after, and the legend of Frenchy’s Chicken was born. The iconic restaurant still uses the same family recipe to season the meat, a secret they will never reveal.
