Is the Honeymoon Already Over?: Now that they are married, Avery starts to move his things into his new home with Juliette. Unfortunately, the move doesn’t go smoothly. (SPOILER ALERT: By the end of the episode, the new Mrs. Barkley finds the perfect place for Avery's chair. It's now in their daughter's nursery. All together now: "Aww...!")
Deacon's Heartbreaking News: With Scarlett by his side, Deacon finally receives his diagnosis — and it’s not good. He has a four-and-a-half centimeter tumor that is untreatable by chemo or radiation. He can get placed on a list to receive a liver transplant, but if the tumor grows to five centimeters, he’s no longer eligible.
Rayna L-O-V-E-S Deacon!: Rayna drops by Deacon’s house and confesses that she’s always loved him and still does, but she’s afraid to pursue things with him because she “didn’t want the pain.” Deacon tells her to take all the time that she needs… but doesn’t warn that time may be working against them due to his cancer diagnosis.
Performance of the Week: Now that his evening wedding plans are off, Luke decides to throw an impromptu concert for his fans. While Luke sings "If I Drink This Beer," we see Jeff visit Layla in the hospital, Sadie prepare an Order of Protection form, Juliette leave Avery a present, Scarlett call her mother, and Rayna curl up in bed…alone.
