Dania Ramirez

Actor Biography

Dania Ramirez is one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood and has costarred in several of the most successful movies and highest-rated television series over the past few years.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Ramirez was raised by her grandmother until she moved to New York City at the age of ten to rejoin her parents. She graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor's degree in Communication and was a star volleyball player. Dania began modeling in New York and got her break into show business when Jay-Z cast her in the music video for "Streets Is Watching." 

She was most recently seen in the popular Lifetime television series Devious Maids, executive produced by Eva Longoria and Desperate Housewives creator, Marc Cherry. Ramirez starred in the role of Rosie Falta, one of four Latina maids who worked for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills.

Recent film credits also include Mojave, starring opposite Mark Wahlberg, and the action-thriller movie Premium Rush, starring opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Shannon. Her other film credits include American Reunion, from the hugely successful American Pie franchise. Ramirez also costarred in the third installment of the X-Men franchise, X-Men: The Last Stand, the Sony Pictures thriller Quarantine, and the live-action movie version of the classic animated series Fat Albert. Ramirez was also seen on the critically acclaimed HBO drama The Sopranos as Blanca, which earned her a SAG Award. She regularly appeared in NBC's cult hit Heroes and HBO's award-winning Entourage. She made her film debut in Spike Lee's The Subway Stories for HBO, which lead to two other Spike Lee projects, 25th Hour and She Hate Me.

Ramirez will be seen in the upcoming feature LYCAN, in which she stars and co-produced. She will also be seen in Jay Silverman's indie feature Off the Menu.
