Actor Biography

Jennifer Morrison currently has her plate full with numerous film projects. She recently completed production on the independent films The List, directed by Harris Goldberg and co-starring Patrick Fugit, and Event 15, a thriller directed by Matthew Thompson and co-starring James Frain and Josh Steward. She was also recently seen in the independent film adaptation of Neil LaBute’s Some Girl(s), with Adam Brody, Emily Watson and Kristen Bell, and Knife Fight, directed by Bill Guttentag and produced by Guerrino De Luca, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Morrison’s other film credits include Warrior, directed by Gavin O’Conner and starring opposite Nick Nolte and Joel Edgerton, J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek, where she played Winona Kirk, Captain James Kirk’s mother, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, opposite Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Dreamworks’ Surviving Christmas, alongside Ben Affleck and Christina Applegate, and the independent film Flourish, in which she starred and which she produced.

On television Morrison is best known for her work as Dr. Allison Cameron on Fox’s critically acclaimed drama, House. The show was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2009 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006, and a 2008 Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Drama. Morrison was nominated for a 2008 WIN Award for Outstanding Actress Drama Series for the show. She also appeared on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother as Zoey, the newest love interested to Ted, played by Josh Radnor.

Now residing in Los Angeles, Morrison hails from Chicago, where she studied with the celebrated Steppenwolf Theatre Company and earned a degree in theater from Loyola University.
