Actor Biography

Josh Dallas was born in Louisville, Kentucky and grew up in New Albany, Indiana. At 16 years of age he was awarded the Sarah Exley Scholarship, which is given to one American student every three years in support of their study of acting at the prestigious Mountview Conservatoire for the Performing Arts in London, England.

In London, at the age of 20, Dallas landed his first professional job as an actor with the acclaimed Royal Shakespeare Company. He went on to perform with some of the most renowned theatrical companies in the world, including the Royal National Theatre, The English National Opera, The New Shakespeare Company and The Young Vic.

Dallas began to pursue roles in television and independent features, which led him back to the U.S. after 10 years in London. He landed a role in Thor, directed by Kenneth Branagh. His other film credits include Red Tails, opposite Bryan Cranston and Cuba Gooding Jr., Ghost Machine, The Descent: Part 2, The Boxer and 80 Minutes. On television he guest starred on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Hawaii Five-0.
