Canadian actor Xavier de Guzman always had a knack for sports as a child which fueled an athleticism that led him to boxing and, later, Thai boxing. Fighting out of Southside Muay Thai in Toronto, de Guzman went on to secure, and then defended, the lightweight championship title in Canada. This level of acclaim led him to his first on-camera role on ABC's Rookie Blue as a boxer. Once he was on set, he was hooked and turned all of his attention on training to become an actor. Since then, he has continuously tried to hone his craft and has put the same passion behind it as he did for boxing.
