More to Chew On: Summer Produce
With summer coming to an end, it’s time to make the most of the season’s freshest produce. Here are the 3 things you must get your hands on before it’s too late:
How to Pick It: Look for tightly wrapped bright green husks with plenty of silk coming out the top. The husks should be moist, and feel firm and heavy for its size.
How to Prepare It: Grill them for the most intense flavor. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and dust with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese and mint.
How to Pick Them: Look for peaches that are firm to the touch. They should be unblemished with a warm, fragrant aroma.
How to Prepare Them: Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and black pepper, or grill them to elicit their sweetness.
How to Pick Them: Look for beans that make a crisp “snap” if broken in half.
How to Prepare Them: Sautee slowly with plenty of garlic.
