Pops was the stoic, wealthy pillar of the family for years. Then his wife died, he retired and old age set in. That's when he became a touch senile and majorly AWESOME. He has no filter anymore. He giggles, tells dirty jokes and will make friends with anyone. He dresses in leisure suits and dates an endless parade of younger gold diggers. He made a fortune from his store "The Ottoman Empire" – which he then passed down to Murray. Now, Pops spends his time gambling, investing in obscure businesses, courting an ongoing slate of women and of course, hanging with his grandkids. Erica, Barry and especially Adam adore Pops – he's often the one they turn to when Murray is yelling and Beverly is smothering. Beverly treats Pops like another child in the house and he despises this. He is NOT a child... even though he can't drive and forgets who he lends money to.
