Bebe Wood was born in Kansas City, MO (Go Royals!). Her love for acting began at home, going to and supporting Kansas City's local theatre scene, including the Coterie, Unicorn, Theatre for Young America and Music Theatre Kansas City. On one of her many trips to New York City to see Broadway shows, Bebe participated in a workshop where she was scouted by a talent agent.
Wood is best known for her break-out role in NBC's The New Normal. Her television credits also include NBC's 30 Rock and About a Boy, HBO's Veep, Nickeoldeon's See Dad Run, and Netflix's mini-TV series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. Her feature credits include the holiday comedy A Merry Friggin' Christmas.
In addition to acting, Bebe loves music. She sings, plays the guitar, ukulele, mandolin, banjolele, and piano. Wood loves history, and one of her favorite places in the world is Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia. She also has a ridiculous half-Yorkie, half-Maltese dog named Rosebud.
Bebe has long supported Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (www.broadwaycares.org), one of the nation's leading AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. She holds a semi-annual runway walk and fashion show with all proceeds going to BC/EFA.
