Alice + Olivia is also known for its extended maternity leave and encourages women when they return to the office after giving birth.  Stacey Bendet got backlash after returning to work six days after having her baby.  She explains returning quickly was a choice she made as it was a creative outlet for her and she loves working.   Stacey created Alica + Olivia in 2002 with the mission to "create the perfect pair of pants" and admits she learned a lot on the job. Stacey Bendet on Gives Advice to Entrepreneurs

Stacey's advice to young women today interested in starting their own business is to focus on what you know.  If you start from a place of positivity it will allow you and those around you to create. Alice + Olivia clothing is worn by many celebrities but Stacey admits she was most excited when The First Lady, Michelle Obama, wore a full Alice + Olivia ensemble.
