After Show Q&A: What's Carrie Underwood getting Brad Paisley for his birthday?
Country superstars Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are pros at hosting the Country Music Awards, and this year they’re back at it again! After the pair chatted with the hosts of The View on October 27, they dished to us backstage about pre-stage rituals, wardrobe malfunctions, and what Carrie is getting Brad for his birthday. On November 5, it will be the duo’s seventh time hosting the CMAs together! And this year, Brad jokingly says he hopes it isn’t the year they ruin it!
Q: Any other CMA hopes?
Carrie: “No wardrobe malfunctions!” But Brad says otherwise!
Brad: “Actually that stuff would be fine, sure.” Really, Brad!? “It’s live TV. I like anything that makes the show better.”
Q: Any hosting rituals or traditions?
Brad: “I always send her flowers to say thanks.” Aww!
Carrie: “I like to say a little prayer before we go on. Just for us to do well.”
Q: All professional talk aside: Mr. Paisley has a birthday coming up on October 28! Big plans?
Brad: “We have meetings scheduled… What are you getting me [to Carrie]!?
Carrie: “You will see… I’ve got a plan. It’s just a little something, not a big deal.”
