For 18 years, ABC’s morning chatfest has kicked off the mornings with discussions about the world’s most fascinating events and interviews with extraordinary newsmakers and stars. Barbara Walters “had this idea for a show”; almost two decades later, "The View" has become a staple in American pop culture.
