Francesco Bilotto's "Summer In A Glass"

Make this delicious, easy and exotic summer drink in a flash! "Basilico Fresco," or "Summer In A Glass," is visually appealing, refreshing, and pairs incredibly well with sunshine and warm temperatures— and it only takes five minutes! Here's how to make it:

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: EASY  

PREP: 5 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS:

•  3 leaves of fresh basil

•  8 red seedless grapes

•  1.5 ounces (1 shot) of vodka (Alternatively, gin or rum may be used) 

•  Ginger ale to fill 

First, mix and mash the basil and grapes thoroughly to break up the grapes and release the basil notes. Add the vodka and ginger ale to fill the glass, then stir. Serve over ice or straight up. You can also use a large basil leaf for garnish, if desired.
