Actor Biography
Christina Chang has had many notable roles on hit series throughout her career. She currently stars in last fall's No. 1 new drama series, The Good Doctor, created by David Shore. Chang was a recurring character in the first season and was promoted to a series regular for Season 2. She stars as Dr. Audrey Lim, who has emerged as a formidable counterpart to Dr. Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez), with the duo often splitting up the growing group of residents between them.
Chang was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, by her Chinese-Filipino father and American mother. At age 17, she moved to the United States to study theater and film in her mother's home state of Kansas and later studied acting in Seattle. Chang went on to gain a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Washington in Seattle. From there, she progressed to the off-Broadway production of Tina Landau's The Trojan Women.
She has recurred and guested on many well-known television series since, including Nashville, Desperate Housewives, 24 and Rizzoli & Isles. Additionally, she appeared in the feature films Random Hearts, 28 Days, Deadline and Girls Club.
Chang's other interests include working with children, following in the footsteps of her mother who was a school counselor. She also speaks Mandarin Chinese.
