Actor Biography
Romany Malco is an American-born Trinidadian comedic film and television actor. Malco's breakout role was the trash-talking womanizer, Jay, in Judd Apatow's 2005 box office hit, The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Since then, he has appeared in a number of memorable roles alongside some of the biggest names in acting, including Last Vegas (with Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Michael Douglas), the Steve Harvey hits Think Like A Man and Think Like A Man Too, The Love Guru (with Mike Meyers), Blades of Glory (with Will Ferrell and Will Arnett) and Baby Mama (with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler).
Other film credits include Top Five, written and directed by Chris Rock; Little Bit of Heaven, starring Kate Hudson; and Saint John of Las Vegas, with Steve Buscemi. Malco has also showcased his versatility in critically acclaimed art-house productions such as the indie comedy The Chateau, alongside Paul Rudd. He has also appeared in Screen Gem's When the Bough Breaks and in the Universal feature film Almost Christmas. His television credits include Weeds, No Ordinary Family and most recently, The Good Wife.
Malco's brainchild and alter ego, Tijuana Jackson, a web series about an ex-convict turned motivational speaker, aired on HBO's Funny or Die Presents. He has recently turned Tijuana Jackson's story into a feature film titled Prison Logic, which is currently in edit.
Most recently, Romany shot Night School, alongside Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish.
