LaMonica Garrett stars as Secret Service Agent Mike Ritter on Designated Survivor. Garrett's previous television credits include the recurring role of TAO. Cameron Burk, on TNT's The Last Ship and USA's Political Animals, opposite Sigourney Weaver. He has guest starred in numerous other shows, including Rizzoli & Isles, Veep, Getting On, Modern Family, Bones, Arrested Development, The Game, NCIS: Los Angeles, Suits, One Tree Hill, CSI: Miami and Single Ladies.
Garrett may be best known for his role on FX's critically acclaimed series Sons of Anarchy, where, from 2011-14, he played Deputy Sheriff Cane, the contemplative right-hand man to Lieutenant Sheriff Eli Roosevelt, played by Rockmond Dunbar.
In 2011, Garrett made his feature film debut in Transformers: Dark of the Moon for Paramount Pictures, and, in 2015, he starred opposite Mark Whalberg and Will Ferrell in Paramount's Daddy's Home. He also starred in the short film The Duke, which premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival and tells the story of J.P. Duke (Garrett), who has suffered multiple concussions but still believes he can make it back to the NFL.
Aside from his work in film and television, Garrett also has a love for the stage, and, in 2012, he co-starred in David E. Talbert's play Suddenly Single, opposite Garcelle Beauvais and Isaiah Washington.
When not working, Garrett loves to do yoga. He is a comic book fan and enjoys working out and staying fit. He is also dedicated to working with underprivileged youth and supports various charity organizations that provide support for kids and teens.
Garrett currently resides in the Los Angeles, CA area.
