Actor Biography

Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress Genie Francis joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL in 1976, when she was 14 years old. Throughout her 42-year career, Genie has split her time between roles on the stage, television, and at the movies. On the small screen she's known for playing: "Ceara Conner" on ALL MY CHILDREN, "Genevieve Atkinson" on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, and "Diana Colville" on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. You may have also seen her as "Brett Main Hazard" on the mini-series NORTH AND SOUTH. She made her off-Broadway debut as "Wanda" in The Baby Dance and went on to play "Elizabeth" in the world premiere of Defying Gravity at the Williamstown Theater Festival. Francis lives near Los Angeles with her husband, Jonathan Frakes.
