The Bachelorette Results: New Bachelorette Voted In, First Rose Ceremony Complete

We have ourselves a new Bachelorette: Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Host Chris Harrison broke the news to Britt Nilsson first:

Britt's had a rough go in her time here in Bachelor Nation after being sent home by Chris Soules and certainly losing this vote had to sting quite a bit. So yes, there were tears, but we wish her the best. And love might still be right around the corner -- more on that below.

So the 25 contestants (well, 24, thanks to Ryan M getting sent home early) preferred Kaitlyn, meaning she got to hear some great news from Chris Harrison. But he sure as heck made it as tense as possible for Kaitlyn as he delivered the news:

Way to make her sweat it out, Chris! She chatted with the guys a little longer, so she could prepare for the Rose Ceremony, because yeah, Kaitlyn had to do one of those too -- which she was not ready for just yet. But love has no timetables, or something equally romantic, so Kaitlyn had to make some cuts.

But remember what we said about Britt having another chance at love? If you can't, you might want to see a doctor, because that was like two paragraphs ago. Anyway, one gentlemen had to interrupt the Rose Ceremony to tell Kaitlyn that he was leaving, because he was there for Britt and it didn't seem fair to stay:

So maybe Britt's going to meet her husband on this show anyway! For Kaitlyn's part, here's how she handled the eliminations:
