Actor Biography
Antonia Thomas currently stars on last fall's No. 1 new drama series, ABC's The Good Doctor, opposite Freddie Highmore. Written by David Shore, based on a South Korean format, the series centers on a young surgeon with savant syndrome who is recruited into the pediatric surgical unit of a prestigious hospital. The Good Doctor is ABC's most-watched freshman series in 13 years, averaging 15.4 million viewers during its first season.
Most recently, Thomas reprised her role as as Evie in the wildly popular Netflix series Lovesick, which was previously titled Scrotal Recall. Currently in its third season, the series centers around playboy Dylan (Johnny Flynn) as he relives past encounters to notify all his former partners that he has chlamydia.
Perhaps best known for her role as Alisha Bailey in the cult sci-fi drama Misfits, Thomas has also appeared in a multitude of notable television series, including the BBC America hit drama The Musketeers, in addition to their popular series Fleming, opposite Dominic Cooper; ITV's mini-series Homefront; BBC's mini-series The Deep, opposite James Nesbitt and Minnie Driver; and has also lent her voice to the reboot of the original 1997 hit children's series Teletubbies.
On the big screen, Thomas first made her mark with a leading riveting performance in Dexter Fletcher's musical, Sunshine on Leith, which she received a 2014 Empire Awards nomination for Best Female Newcomer. That same year, she appeared in Billy O'Brien's sci-fi, The Hybrid, and Elaine Constantine's musical drama, Northern Soul. This was followed by a plethora of buzzworthy independent films, including James McTeigue's crime thriller, Survivor, opposite Milla Jovovich, Pierce Brosnan and Angela Bassett; Nirpal Bhogal's Netflix horror, Firstborn; and Avril E. Russell's thriller, Rearview.
