Contributor on ABC Television Network’s “The View.”

Ana Navarro was born in Nicaragua. In 1980, she and her family immigrated to the United States and settled in Miami, Florida.

Navarro is a graduate of the Carrolton School of the Sacred Heart, the University of Miami and St. Thomas University Law School.

She is a recognized expert on US politics, Hispanic issues and Latin American affairs.

She was on Gov. Jeb Bush's Transition Team in 1998-99. In 2001, she served as Ambassador to the UN Human Rights Commission. In 2008, she was the National Chair of John McCain’s Hispanic Advisory Council. She has been an advisor to numerous Federal and State candidates nationally and in Florida. She served as National Hispanic Co-Chair for Gov. Jon Huntsman’s 2012 Campaign.

In the private sector, she advises private and government clients on political, Hispanic and federal issues.

She was a Fellow at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government. She is a political commentator with ABC, CNN and CNN en Español and is frequently quoted in national media outlets.

She and Gene Prescott have made their home in South Florida since 2002.
