Alex finally tells Jo that he hired an investigator and found her abusive husband, Paul. He reassures Jo that he's not like her ex, and he could never hurt her. When Jo finds out that Alex tracked down Paul, and restrained himself instead of becoming violent, she realizes she can trust him. She immediately locks the door and starts kissing him.
