Actor Biography
Troy Gentile plays the overly confident middle child, Barry Goldberg, on ABC's hit comedy series "The Goldbergs."
Gentile began his career at age 11 when he landed his first acting job as Hooper in the film remake of "Bad News Bears," starring Billy Bob Thornton. He also played Lil JB, the younger version of Jack Black's character, in the film "Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny," and later played Young Stu, the younger version of Dan Fogler's character, in "Good Luck Chuck."
Gentile's first lead role was in "Drillbit Taylor," starring opposite Owen Wilson and produced by Judd Apatow. He also appeared in "Pineapple Express," "Nacho Libre" and "Hotel for Dogs" with Don Cheadle and Kevin Dillon.
Gentile guest starred on multiple television series, including "Entourage," "Hawthorne" and Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody," and even played a young Craig Ferguson on an episode of "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson."
Gentile currently lives in Los Angeles.
