The Bachelorette 2019 Recap, Week 6: Luke P. Sent Home, Comes Right Back

After Week 4 and Week 5 of The Bachelorette 2019 both ended with cliffhangers, Bachelorette Hannah Brown is ready to shake things up big time. Last week we left off as Hannah told Luke P. that he wasn't getting a rose on their 1-on-1 date. Usually, that means the guy is going home immediately. But what happens if he won't leave? You can stream The Bachelorette 2019 Week 6 here on ABC.com or in the ABC app, or simply just continue reading this Bachelorette recap for this week's highlights!

It's Over, Luke...We'll See You Tomorrow!

So we left just as Hannah told Luke she couldn't give him the rose on their date. For a while, Luke tries apologizing for the day, hoping that'll solve the problem, but Hannah's not looking to assign blame. She's trying to find a husband she can be happy with. She tells him she basically had to yell at him all day to make him say ANYTHING, and she's not super thrilled about the prospect of 50 more years of yelling at someone just to figure out what they're thinking. So here's how it all goes down:

Kinda worrisome she feels she has to tack that last part on, eh? But we'll say this for Hannah: She's got great instincts.

Because as soon as Luke leaves, he starts walking away, having a little internal dialogue with himself about the way this has all gone down, how unbelievable it is, etc., and eventually he just kinda...turns around. Starts walking back to the castle. Hannah's trying to pick up the pieces and move on, when suddenly:

She decides to let him stay, where he'll have to face the rose ceremony like the rest of them. Predictably, they're not excited. Will the drama continue?

The Drama Continues

At the cocktail party, Garrett finds out that Luke P. mentioned a few of the guys in the house to Hannah. Garrett says that Luke P. specifically said he didn't talk about the other guys. Then everyone yells about who lies and who doesn't lie, and a whole bunch of stuff that certainly isn't important stuff like "Who likes spaghetti and who likes mac and cheese?" so eventually Hannah says, okay guys, time to shut up about all of this. She's upset and she's frustrated, and it's not just Luke P.—it's everyone who keeps getting into this stuff.

The guys look properly scolded...for about 30 seconds. Then the arguing starts back up again, and Hannah overhears it all. And it's, like, dude, come on. She JUST warned all y'all. She told you not to make excuses and bicker and act like kids and they did it anyway, and now mama's coming back to deliver the spankings:

WHEN HANNAH SAYS COOL IT YOU BETTER DAMN WELL COOL IT, GENTLEMEN.

After the rose ceremony she reinforces it with a forceful speech that ends with a distinct lack of pleasantries:

The point being: shape up or ship out. That is all. "Good. Night."

The Breakdown in Latvia

Everyone heads to Riga, Latvia, the next days for a fresh start. But before we can even get a date on the books, Chris Harrison has a conversation with Hannah to see how she's doing. The answer is basically "not that great," if you can believe that. Apparently when you show up to find a husband but instead become a parent to 12 grown men, one ends up a bit disappointed. Hannah tearfully explains that this might not work for her. She still has hope, but it's hard to say whether or not it's misplaced.

So Chris and Hannah take a unique approach to move forward, declaring that before we move forward in the face of such nuttiness, we're going to have to take a look back to figure out how exactly we ended up here. ("Here" being "Crazytown.")

The pair breaks down some of the biggest moments thus far before breaking down the most serious relationships she has currently. We'll skip over that stuff to keep it brief here, but we will note that Hannah says Luke P. is the best kisser in the group. And we also learn about one of Hannah's relationships that was previously undisclosed to all of us watching at home, with someone named Marcus:

Anyway, Hannah seems ready for her fresh start, which is going to have to wait until next week. And this fresh start certainly looks like it gets complicated really quickly. Check out the mid-season preview of the rest of The Bachelorette 2019 right here:
