American Idol 2019 Results & Recap: Top 5 Contestants Revealed

It was peace, love and music this week, as the remaining American Idol 2019 finalists each performed an inspirationally powerful "showstopper" song and also took on a song performed at the famed Woodstock music festival in 1969 (check out the hair!). The Top 6 were also joined by Grammy Award-winning artist Lauren Daigle, who served as this week's celebrity guest mentor. This was also the judges last chance to use their save, and Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan decided to use it! Once again America's Vote took place during the show, with two of the Top 6 seeing their American Idol journey come to an end.... until the judges used their save.

The Judges Finally Use Their Save

With two hopefuls facing elimination, judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie decided to use their last save of the season and the finalists are shocked. 

Gabby Barrett Returns!

Last season's second runner-up and powerhouse vocalist, Gabby Barrett returned to the Idol stage to perform her latest song, "I Hope." She also shared the news that she's engaged to fellow American Idol contestant, Cade Foehner!

Wade Cota's Perfect Pick

Wade Cota got major props from all three judges for picking the perfect song with Joe Cocker's "With a Little Help From My Friends." Katy said, "it's the best performance I've seen tonight." 

Madison Vandenburg Surrenders

Madison Vandenberg does right by Celine Dion with her showstopping performance of Dion's hit "I Surrender."

Alejandro Aranada's Showstopping Original

Alejandro Aranda took a risk performing his original song "Poison" at this point in the competition, but it paid off big-time! 

Laci Kaye Booth Rocks

Laci Kaye Booth rocked big hair and big vocals during her performance of Janis Joplin's "To Love Somebody," in the finalists' tribute to Woodstock's 50th anniversary. 

Laine Hardy Channels Chuck Berry

Laine Hardy showed off some serious moves during his performance of Chuck Berry's hit "Johnny B. Goode."

Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon Gets Spiritual

Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon got the crowd going and hands clapping with his spiritual performance of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot."
