Bring Blockbusters Home This Summer With Our List of Movies on ABC.com
Three things are certain in the summertime: beautiful weather, mouth-watering barbeques, and spectacular blockbuster movies with some of your favorite actors and characters. While we can't provide the sunshine, nor will we be able to cook for you, we do have an exciting selection of blockbuster movies available for you to watch on ABC.com. Watch Tobey Maguire swing into action and save the world as your friendly neighborhood "Spider-Man," hold onto the edge of your couch as Jason Statham provides some high-octane action in "Mechanic: Resurrection," or immerse yourself in the tense, bone-chilling horror of "A Quiet Place." Whatever type of movie you're looking for, there's something for everyone on Freeform and FX. All you need to do is sit back, relax, and bring the popcorn.
FX
There is a host of truly great movies available on ABC.com, courtesy of FX, for you to watch on your next movie night, including tense thrillers, superhero comedies, and terrifying horrors. If you're brave enough for an eerie horror film, "A Quiet Place" – starring real-life husband and wife duo John Krasinski and Emily Blunt – might be the movie for you, as they attempt to survive a terrifying alien invasion. While the drama is near silent, don't be afraid to scream as loud as you like. For even more alien invasion antics, but of a very different kind, then why not keep the 4th of July spirit going by watching an epic battle for Earth in "Independence Day: Resurgence?"
Should you find yourself in a heroic mood this summer, then perhaps you can marvel at FX's selection of comic book adaptations, including "Logan," Hugh Jackman's swan song in the role of Wolverine, where he attempts to help a little girl escape to safety. Alternatively, for something a little more mischievous, you can help yourself to a double bill of "Deadpool" and "Deadpool 2," starring the inimitable Ryan Reynolds exercising his talent for irreverent comedy as the anti-hero Wade Wilson.
You can also watch Emma Roberts and Dave Franco play a risky game in the techno-thriller film "Nerve." Or, if you're just looking for some classic, high-octane thrills, check out Jason Statham reprising his role as hardened assassin Arthur Bishop in "Mechanic: Resurrection."
Freeform
There's no better time to revisit some classic Hollywood blockbusters than this summer, and thankfully, Freeform has plenty available! Now is the perfect opportunity to rewatch Sam Raimi's spectacular Spider-Man trilogy. Follow the journey of high-school student Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) as he discovers great power and takes on great responsibility while battling a host of formidable foes in "Spider-Man," "Spider-Man 2," and "Spider-Man 3." For another blast from the past, you can also watch "Jumanji," which stars the late, great Robin Williams as Alan Parrish, a man trapped in a magical board game for decades who is released by two youngsters. He brings with him a host of dangers that can only be stopped by finishing the game.
In the mood for some hilarious action-packed nostalgia? Then Adam Sandler's "Pixels" is the film for you, as he tries to save the world from aliens who have brought classic video game characters to life. Alternatively, if you're looking to animate your movie night with some family-friendly fun, then you can also check out "Hotel Transylvania 2" - also starring Adam Sandler. This time around, Dracula and his friends try to bring out the monster in his half-human, half-vampire grandson, with naturally chaotic results!
All of these Freeform and FX movies – and more – are available to watch now on ABC.com.
