Celebrate Back to the Future Day with The Goldbergs - October 21, 2015

Children of the '80s rejoice: today is officially Back to the Future Day! If you're a fan of the movies, you know that October 21, 2015 marks the exact date from the 1989 movie Back to the Future II where Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) travel to the future. Marty and the Doc experience 2015 in all its glory by riding around on Hoverboards and watching The Chicago Cubs win the World Series, as well as navigating the space-time contiuum in their favorite mode of transporation: a time-traveling DeLorean. ABC is celebrating Back to the Future Day with a collection of clips of your favorite ABC show characters referencing the iconic film, including '80s movie buff Adam Goldberg from The Goldbergs! 

From the episode, "I Rode a Hoverboard," Adam injures his arm and is inspired by director Robert Zemeckis' Back to the Future II to blame it on a Hoverboard. He tells his friends a bogus story about meeting a "Doc Brown-type" scientist who asked him to test out Hoverboard technology. Watch Adam's hijinks and more in the video below!

For fans of ABC dramas, the video also features clips of Once Upon a Time's Emma Swan attempting to explain who Marty McFly is to a clueless Captain Hook as well as Richard Castle's Back to the Future references during a case on Castle and a DeLorean-centered scene from Mistresses.
