Blige guest-starred with Sean "Diddy" Combs in the Season 1 finale of black-ish, "Pops' Pops' Pops," that recounted an important time in the Johnson family's history during the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. Mary J. Blige played a singer at the Savoy Ballroom, where she performed her hit "I'm Going Down."
