Revenge Music Supervisor Commentary - Episode #205, 'Forgiveness'

Featuring "For You" by Angus & Julia Stone 

"For You" was such an integral part of our pilot - introducing Emily's love for her father which helps to explain the core of her revenge against the Grayson's.  Sitting in our spotting session for episode 205 and watching the scene of Emily in that white robe on the beach it instantly took me back to the memories of that exact scene in the pilot.  I brought up the idea of recalling the pilot by using "For You" over the scene, and Izler jumped right in creatively to create a string overlay on the song just as he did on the pilot to tie the song and score so perfectly together.  This episode is a particularly emotional one for Emily.  We see her extremely vulnerable which is rare.  "For You" takes you right back to the feelings and memories of that little innocent girl who lost her father and holds the memory of him so dear.  I love this use - and want to thank Angus and Julia Stone for embracing our show and approving our use as well as Izler's amazing string overlay which really brings the scene to life.  I'd also like to say a special thank you to our amazing ABC Music Executive - Dawn Soler for helping us bring back the magic of the pilot!
