Barry's Dos and Don'ts of Finding Love

Finding love in high school can often be tricky, especially if you have no game - or you have overbearing Beverly Goldberg (Wendi McLendon-Covey) for a mother. For Barry (Troy Gentile), it's especially difficult, as he faces both of those challenges. However, in Season 2, Episode 11 of The Goldbergs, "The Darryl Dawkins Dance," Barry's luck changes when he finally gets the girl... well, sort of. The problem: it's big sis Erica's (Hayley Orrantia) best friend, Lainey (guest star AJ Michalka). Another issue: Lainey wants to keep their "sort-of relationship" in the shadows and doesn't want to be seen with Barry. While that will usually deter someone from connecting with their soulmate,  Barry doesn't let it stand in his way. Here are some of Barry's dos and don'ts of finding love. 

DO: Be persistent. It will eventually pay off! 

DON'T: Let your mother set you up with someone. You might find yourself dating your mother. 

DO: Be honest with your feelings about the other person. You just never know what they might be feeling.
