Barry and Erica Become Van People

In Season 2, Episode 13 of The Goldbergs, "Van People," Erica (Hayley Orrantia) butts heads with Murray (Jeff Garlin) over filling up the gas tank in the family car. Easily solution: Buy your own wheels! She convinces  Barry (Troy Gentile) to go in with her but since he's ponying up the most cash, he has the last say in what they get. Say hello to Barry's A-Team Van! And suck  it, Mom and Dad!

MY DRIVEWAY, MY RULES!

Even though it's not his car, Murray still manages to invoke Dad Rules when he tells Erica that she can't park the oil-leaking clunker on his driveway. Erica then ups the ante by announcing she and Barry (right, Barry?) are going to live in the van. And Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey) is just concerned that her precious children will be sleeping in a creepy van. With no one backing down, it looks like Erica and Barry may be Van People permanently.

A-TEAM VAN TO THE RESCUE...

Murray buys out Barry's part of the van, which drives Erica to an even more drastic step: She's running away! Since the family car is blocked by a bus, it's up to Barry and his van to save the day. If only he'd remembered to put in gas! Good thing, in the end, Erica and Murray realize they have a lot more in common than just pigheaded stubbornness.

Sneak Peek: Barry Hulks Out|Barry loses it when his dad refuses to meet Lainey's dad.|Barry (Troy Gentile) threatens to hulk out on Murray when he won't agree to watch the biggest football game of the year with Lainey (AJ Michalka)'s dad. Barry's entire relationship depends on getting her dad's approval, but Murray makes it clear football is more important than his son's love life.
