Sofia Vergara Talks Real Life Wedding: "It's Going to be Big!"

Sofia Vergara may be happily married on  Modern Family, but in real life she's newly engaged. Sofia shared details about her upcoming wedding to Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello at the Screen Actors Guild Awards January 25, 2015. 

Sofia said that the wedding is going to be "big..." and the guest list "started, like, 'It's only 20.' Yeah right! It's like now there's like pages and pages." As for her impressive engagement ring, Vergara said, "It's all about the bling-bling, so he knew what I needed." She added that the size of the ring actually wasn't that important. "He's so handsome that it would have been okay, you know? I would have said, 'Okay, yeah.'"

Sounds a lot like her Modern Family character, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, who married the much-older Jay (Ed O'Neill) for more than just his bank balance. As she says in this clip from the "Heart Broken" episode, "I know a lot of people think that I’m attracted to Jay because of his money, but they’re wrong. I’m attracted to him because he’s sexy." She then lists off the reasons: The way he carries boxes, the way he yells on the phone and oh, the drilling!

Of course, she has to reassure Jay often that she finds him sexy, even if he has no hair and even if people mistake him for Ben Franklin when he's supposed to be Prince Charming; He's still her Prince Charming, hair or no hair.

She also loves Jay for his kind gestures, like realizing her high heels are killing her after a long day at Disneyland and buying her some comfy Minnie Mouse slippers. Now that's love!
