Gerry Turner, a charming 71-year-old patriarch from Indiana, is the first Golden Bachelor, showcasing that love stories only get better with age. After more than 20 years of fostering young love on "The Bachelor," "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor in Paradise," "The Golden Bachelor" showcases a whole new kind of love story – one for the golden years. On this all-new unscripted series, one hopeless romantic is given a second chance at love in the search for a partner with whom to share the sunset years of life. The women arriving at the mansion have a lifetime of experience, living through love, loss and laughter, hoping for a spark that ignites a future full of endless possibilities. "The Golden Bachelor" was just one of the great shows revealed when ABC announced its 2023-2024 fall primetime schedule, featuring a solid lineup of original programming every night with network staples and fan-favorite unscripted series. The network continues to deliver on its success as the season's No. 1 entertainment network among Adults 18-49 for the fourth season in a row. ABC ranked or tied as the No. 1 entertainment network on 18 of the 33 weeks of the season to date, marking more weekly wins with entertainment programming than any other network. In fact, the network also delivered the longest winning streak of the season to date, ranking or tying for No. 1 on 12 consecutive weeks. "We are proud to be home to beloved series and meaningful narratives that audiences continue to embrace, and we're fortunate that our solid, stable roster continues to leverage the enormous success of our established hits, with originals airing every night of the week," said Craig Erwich, president, Disney Television Group.
