American Idol 2019: Top 20 Contestants Revealed

American Idol 2019's journey continues, and for the first time ever, the contestants were off to Hawaii where they performed in front of a live audience at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina. After finishing their solos, the 40 remaining contestants sat down with judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan for their Final Judgment. After everyone learned their fate, the Top 20 returned to Los Angeles for another chance to impress the judges. Party With Hardy

"Are you ready to party with a Hardy?" asks Laine Hardy as he hits the stage in a suit and tie for this Showcase performance. His new look and sound absolutely stuns the judges, prompting Katy to ask, "am I allowed to have a crush on a contestant?"

Wild Thing

Kai The Singer may have previously confused an escalator with an Escalade, but the 19-year-old from Kingstree, SC has come out of her shell and impressed the judges with her confidence during her performance of Alessia Cara's "Wild Things."

Uché Brings the Funk

Uché's electric performance of Wild Cherry's "Play that Funky Music," has the crowd screaming and judges grooving in Hawaii. 

Ho Hey

Eddie Island's Top 20 solo performance of The Lumineers' "Ho Hey" has the judges on the verge of tears. 

Not-So Cheap Tricks

Laci Kaye Booth seems to have a few more vocal tricks up her sleeve, and stuns the judges with her Top 20 solo performance of Cheap Trick's "I Want You to Want Me."
