The journey continues as American Idol returns for a new season with the help of host Ryan Seacrest and American Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. The famous Idol bus toured across the United States again, looking for talent from all over and, as you can see from the week 1 audition videos, America did not disappoint. For a quick recap of premiere week (Episode 1 and Episode 2), here are highlights you won't want to miss!
1. Burp
Margie Mays can't control herself or her bodily functions as she faces the judges, causing Lionel to say he needs to check into a home.
2. High-Fives All Around
The judges are in utter shock, and can't stop high-fiving each other, when 19-year-old Myra Tran from Vietnam sings Jennifer Hudson's "One Night Only." "You're up there with the Kelly Clarkson's of the world," says Luke Bryan.
3. Lionel's "No" Turns to a "Yes."
Lionel Richie wasn't quite feeling Uché's performance of Christina Aguilera's "Ain't No Other Man," but in a surprising turn of events, Lionel changes his tune after the 24-year-old Texan names and explains his musical influences.

5. Ready, Set, Go!
When American Idol contestant Johanna Jones shares her pre-performance potato-chip trick (apparently the salt keeps inflammation down), Katy Perry reveals she JUST finished a bag. Katy professes her love for potato chips, then challenges Luke to a chip-eating competition. See how fast Luke finishes a bag of chips!

7. Smooth Operator
Watch as Katy Perry melts in the presence of steamy 26-year-old Juan Pablo, as he performs Andrea Bocelli's "Besame Mucho." The two create a love language of their own and even star in their very own telenovela.
8. Encore
"I feel like I'm in the presence of greatness," says Luke Bryan, whose world is rocked by 24-year-old Alejandro Aranda and his guitar skills. All three judges are in awe of his talent, with Lionel requesting a second performance just to see what Alejandro can do on the piano.
