American Idol 2018 Week 2 Recap: Watch Audition Videos & Highlights

Auditions continued in Week 2 of American Idol 2018, as American Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie traveled across the country looking for talent worthy of a coveted Golden Ticket to Hollywood. The search took the team to Los Angeles, Nashville, Savannah, and New Orleans, and at every stop they saw some extraordinary singers and songwriters, and had a few laughs along the way. You can see all of the auditions by streaming Episode 3 and Episode 4 right here on ABC.com, or check out the Week 2: Auditions playlist for every performance that earned a Golden Ticket. But if you're in a hurry, here's a quick recap and some of the big highlights you won't want to miss.

Marcio Donaldson's Emotional Audition

Marcio grew up in the foster care system and, when faced with the choice of letting his nephew fall into the same system at one week old, chose to adopt him instead. Now he has a chance to make a better life for himself and his new son.

Sister Act

Taryn Coccia came in to audition with her older sister, Payton Taylor, volunteering to play guitar for her, but judge Katy Perry had a sneaking suspicion she wanted to hear Payton sing as well. Now there may be a little sibling rivalry going to Hollywood.

Happy Birthday, Katy!

It was Katy Perry's birthday during auditions, so Cody Martin gave her a quick serenade of "Happy Birthday." Little did he know that would be enough to get him a Golden Ticket!

American Idol Baby

Speaking of birthdays, Victoria McQueen was born on the very day that American Idol first premiered on television. She barely made the cut-off for audition age, so she came in knowing she would have to nail it to earn that serendipitous happy ending she'd been looking for.

Clean Up on American Idol

Ok, maybe bringing a peekapoo to an audition wasn't a good idea after all.

The auditions keep rolling SUNDAY 8|7c as American Idol's journey continues on America's network, ABC!
